March 4, 11, 18 and 25 “Love Let Go” – An Exploration of Radical Generosity
What would you do if you won the lottery? Or you inherited a large sum of money? What would be your priorities for the money? What would you spend it on? Would you spend it? Is there a need you would address? Is there something you have always wanted to buy? How would you feel about receiving the money? Would you do something radical with the money?
We will explore these kinds of questions as we read the book “Let Love Go,” by Laura Sumner Truax and Amalya Campbell. We will examine the radical generosity shown by a church in Chicago and we will discuss the implications of their story for our individual stewardship choices and our congregational life together.
Please order a copy of “Love Let Go.” The hardcover book is $17 on Amazon with digital and used versions available, too. Prior to March 4th, please read chapters 1, 2 and 3. This four-week series will be facilitated by Andy Lacatell. He looks forward to see you in March! If you have any questions, feel free to email Andy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
