That title would suggest a simple idea, a seemingly agreeable one. Yet the words came from Abraham Lincoln as a vision for human rights before the start of the Civil War, and they recently adorned a sign held by our pastor as she witnessed for the rights of same-sex couples before a courthouse deliberating on Virginia’s marriage ban. Carla drew on that experience when she was asked to write about marriage equality for the PCUSA’s journal “Unbound”. We are excited to share her article as the latest installment of “Telling Our Stories”.
